Protecting property, people and environments

So far as we’re concerned there’s only one good approach to on-site incidents and accidents: prevention.

Since [YEAR] we’ve been delivering trusted cleaning solutions for homes, businesses and industrial sites throughout the UK, working within strict safety protocols and processes to keep sites and people safe.

Discover our Six-Point Safety Commitment.

1: Team Training

Every member of the Cleantronic and First Glass teams is trained and certified in every aspect of the work assigned to them. That means that every single person working for us on your site, has an in-depth, professionally certified understanding of the work that they are doing and the risk that it carries.

We’re independently accredited in the safe use of pressure washing, safe use of soft wash systems, scaffolding, the use of elevating platforms and more. Every member of our team is proud to carry their personal accreditation cards on site at all times: it’s part of our commitment to outstanding safety practice and professional conduct.

Speak to any member of our team on your site, and they will be proud to show you their safety passports from ETICB, IPAF, PASMA, City & Guilds and more.

2: Approvals and Accreditations

As a business, we have been proudly Safe Contractor Accredited since 2016. Every piece of equipment that we work with is separately logged, checked and tested in line with rigorous timetables and procedures,

ensuring that safety harnesses, ladders, reach poles and more are in good-as-new condition, every time we need them.

3: Site Specific Safety

Every morning at Cleantronic and our sister company, First Glass, begins with a Toolbox Talk: briefing every team member on every aspect of the day’s work; highlighting every source of risk or danger, and ensuring that everyone is fully prepared to protect their own safety, and that of their colleagues, throughout the duration of the task in hand.

Our written, site-specific Risk Assessment and Method Statements, completed for every individual area of every site we work on, are kept on site and available for inspection at all times.

4: Eco-responsible products

As professional cleaners, we are serious about choosing the safest and most eco-responsible products available to us. The premium soft-wash products that we use are pre-mixed to environmentally safe standards; conform to the Global Harmonised System for product labelling, and are authorised by The Irish Pesticides Registration & Controls Service (PRCD) and Health & Safety Executive (HSE). They are fully compliant with REACH (Registration, Evaluation, Authorisation & restriction of Chemicals) regulations for cleaning exterior hard surfaces.

Testing shows that our cleaning products are non bio-accumulable: that means their active ingredients break down completely to carbon and water so that within 30 mins of use, they can safely enter the public drainage network with no risk of pollution or damage to local plants, wildlife, water cycle nor ecosystem.

5: Eco Responsible Practices

We are responsible not only in our product selections, but also in our product application. When applying soft-wash techniques, we work at very low water pressure, applying only 1.5 litres of solution per minute to avoid overspray and minimise run-off.

By covering drains and blocking down-pipes during the product application process and for 30 minutes afterwards, we actively control the environmental risk, and by taping off the area where we are working, we keep your site and people safe.

6: Innovation and Improvement

Constant service innovation is part of the Cleantronic difference. Through innovations such as our 8-storey Reach and Wash system; our 5-storey Industrial Drain Vacuum and our giant pressure-washing rotovator, we are constantly working to reduce the inherent risks traditionally involved in cleaning major property assets by replacing high-risk activities such as working at height, with efficient, lower-risk alternatives.
